29 CFR 1910.151(b): In the absence of an infirmary, clinic, or hospital in near proximity to the workplace which is used for the treatment of all injured employees, a person or persons shall be adequately trained to render first aid. Adequate first aid supplies shall be readily available:   Facility: When employees were using and exposed to the hazards of Hydrofluoric Acid, the employer did not ensure that required first aid supplies were available, and one or more persons were trained in the specialized procedures needed to treat someone exposed to this material.

29 CFR 1910.157(e)(3): The employer shall assure that portable fire extinguishers are subjected to an annual maintenance check. Stored pressure extinguishers do not require an internal examination. The employer shall record the annual maintenance date and retain this record for one year after the last entry or the life of the shell, whichever is less. The record shall be available to the Assistant Secretary upon request:  Facility: The employer did not assure that all fire extinguishers had received the required annual maintenance check.  One extinguisher, located in the Chemical Storage Area, had not received this check since 2011.
