29 CFR 1926.200(g)(1): Construction areas were not posted with legible traffic signs at points of hazards:   a)  The violation was most recently observed on or about May 1, 2013, on W. Cuttriss Str., at or about N. Washington Ave., where the employer did not provide at least one advanced warning sign to warn road users that road work is taking place, thereby exposing employees in the work zone to struck-by hazards, as required by the Part VI of the MUTCD 1988 Edition, Section 6G-2b(4).     In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).

A.B.C. Plumbing, Heating & Cooling, Inc., was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.651(j)(2) which was contained in OSHA violation number 280936, citation 1, item 1, issued on April 3, 2012, and became final order on or about May 23, 2012, with respect to a workplace located at 416 N. Fairview Ave., Mount Prospect, IL 60056.  No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item.
