29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: a) 48 Pulaski Avenue, Carteret, NJ 08037: Employees were observed performing roofing operations on a 6/12 pitched roof with an eave height of approximately 28' to the ground below with no fall protection in place, exposing them to fall hazards. Condition observed on or about May 2, 2013. The J & R CONTRACTORS, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501 (b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 312858665, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on May 22, 2009, with respect to a workplace located at 145 Summit Avenue, Cliffside Park, NJ.
