29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Employees engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system: a) On west side of house: On or about April 30, 2013 and at times prior to the employer exposed his employees to fall hazards in that he allowed his employees to work on a 6:12 pitch roof without fall protection exposing his employees to falls of approximately 8 feet to the ground below. The Rufino Salinas Contreres was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard (1926.501(b)(13)), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 315624726, citation number 01, item number 001 and was affirmed as a final order on September 13, 2011, with respect to a workplace located at1613 Fletcher Dr., Phenix City AL.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed: a) At Northwest corner (front) of shed: On or about April 30, 2013 and at times prior to, the employer exposed his employees to fall hazards in that employees were allowed to access a roof that was approximately 8 feet above the ground with a ladder that was set up where the ladders side rails did not extend at least 3 feet above the upper landing surface. The Rufino Salinas Contreres was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.1053(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 315624726 citation number 01, item number 002 and was affirmed as a final order on September 13, 2011, with respect to a workplace located at 1613 Fletcher Dr., Phenix City, AL.
