OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazards of being struck by wood building components in the event of structural collapse.  On or about May 7, 2013 employees erecting roof trusses were exposed to the hazards of being struck by building and building materials with structural collapse as a result of inadequate shoring and lateral support of structure.  Single post shores were used to hold up the second floor of the building.  The shores were not plumb, were without diagonal bracing, were not designed by a Registered Professional Engineer and were erected on an uneven surface. This hazard was located 11900 RM 620 North Building 2, Cedar Park, Texas 78613.
