The exit routes must be located as far away as practical from each other so that if one exit route is blocked by fire or smoke, employees can evacuate using the second exit route:    a)  Brundage Road Warehouse, west side, on or about 5/7/13:  There was no second means of egress from the warehouse at the south end.    Abatement certification must be submitted for this item.

29 CFR 1910.37(b)(4): Signs were not posted along the exit access indicating the direction of travel to the nearest exit and exit discharge when the direction of travel to the exit or exit discharge was not immediately apparent and line-of-sight to an exit sign was not clearly visible at all times:    a)  West Entry Glass Warehouse, on or about 5/7/13:  There were no exit directional signs provided along the exit access in that an exit sign had been placed next to loading dock door 12, but there were no exits in the near vicinity.  Also, the line-of-sight to the exit sign was blocked by pallets of bottles.    b)  West Entry Can Warehouse, on or about 5/7/13:  In the southwest corner of the warehouse there were no exit directional signs indicating the direction of travel to the nearest exit.    c)  West Entry Glass Warehouse, on or about 5/7/13:  In the southwest corner and northwest corners of the warehouse there were no exit directional signs indicating the direction of travel to the nearest exits.    d)  Brundage Road Warehouse, on or about 5/7/13:  Throughout the warehouse, on the east side and on the west side, there were no exit directional signs indicating the direction of travel to the nearest exits.    Abatement certification must be submitted for these items.
