OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that, employees were exposed to crushing hazards: a) Yard/Shop Areas, 848 Marshall Phelps Rd., Windsor, CT. - On or about 5-13-13 - Employee was observed operating a Toyota, Model FD70, Industrial Fork Truck, that was no provided with a seat belt.

29 CFR 1910.24(h): Standard railings were not provided on the open sides of all exposed stairways and stair platforms: a) 848 Marshall Phelps Road, Small Parts Storage Area - On or about 5-13-13 - The stairway to the storage area was not equipped with a standard railing. Top rail of system measured 32 inches in height and did not have a mid rail exposing employees to fall hazards.
