OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that employees were exposed to crushing and struck-by hazards associated with improper automotive lift operations:     (a)  On or about 14 May 2013, and at times prior to that date, employees were exposed to struck-by hazards while working around the Challenger and ALM 2-post lifts which were not being properly maintained in that, the Challenger 2-post lift cables were fraying and unwinding.     Abatement note:       Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method of abatement would be to follow the requirements of ANSI/ALI and/or ANSI B153.1 which includes, among other requirements, the following:        1.  Institute a preventive maintenance program according to the manufactures' specification.        2.  Schedule and complete all periodic and annual inspections.
