29 CFR 1910.23(d)(1)(ii): On stairways less than 44 inches wide having one side open, at least one stair railing on open side was not guarded .    (a) Mountain Meadow Lamb at 4900 Clarkson Street in Denver, CO:  On and before 5/3/13, the employer did not have at least one guarded stair railing on open side. The width of the stariway leading onto the catwalk to the office was 24 inches. There was no intermediate rail at the top of the stairway leading onto a catwalk which leads to the office. This condition exposed employees to fall hazards.

This condition exposed the employee to laceration and amputation hazards.    (b) Mountain Meadow Lamb at 4900 Clarkson Street in Denver, CO:  On and before 5/3/2013, the employer did not guard the point of operation on the auxillary band saw in the fabrication area while cutting meat.  This condition exposed the employee to laceration and amputation hazards.

(a)  Mountain Meadow Lamb at 4900 Clarkson Street in Denver, CO: On and before 5/3/13, the employer did not ensure that the lighting cords hanging from the ceilings and the pendants in case ready and fabrication were provided with strain relief.  The non-metallic shielded conductors entering the electrical box did not have protection to prevent pull being directly transmitted to joints or terminal screws.  This condition exposed the employees to electrical shock hazards.
