29 CFR 1926.200(g)(1):  Construction areas were not posted with legible traffic signs and devices at points of hazards:     (a)  Asphalt Realty LLC, East 38th and Jasmine, Denver, CO:  On May 16th, 2013, the employer did not ensure employees were protected from "struck-by" hazards associated with motor vehicles. Employees were observed finishing concrete on the westbound side of 38th Avenue absent of an appropriate sign to warn drivers of approaching road work.  Condition exposed employees to "struck by" hazards.     (b)  Asphalt Realty LLC, East 38th and Jasmine, Denver, CO:  On May 16th, 2013, the employer did not ensure employees were protected from "struck-by" hazards associated with motor vehicles. Employees were observed finishing concrete on the westbound side of 38th Avenue absent of appropriate channelizing devices (cones) to redirect traffic out of their normal path of travel.  Condition exposed employees to "struck by" hazards.     Abatement Note: Among other methods, a feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to ensure proper placement of the advance warning signs and channelizing devices. This abatement method is depicted in the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) 2003 in Figure 6H-1, Shoulder Work with Minor Encroachment (TA-6).
