29 CFR 1926.451(c)(2)(iv): Front-end loaders and similar pieces of equipment were used to support scaffold platforms when they were not specifically designed by the manufacturer for such use:   (a) Left Side of the Development - An employee used a Gradall 544D rough terrain lift truck to raise an employee 9 feet high to remove a window on the second floor of a building under construction. The platform was shop made, 7 1/2 feet wide with 3 walls that were 4 feet high, and was not specifically designed by the manufacturer for that use, thereby exposing the employee to a hazard, observed on or about 5-16-13.  Abatement certification required.
