29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use: Fuel From Waste, LLC - on or about May 23, 2013, in the production area, employees were exposed to corrosive chemicals (caustic soda and ferric chloride) when filling containers and tending holding tanks. A single 16-ounce eyewash bottle was available, but there was no plumbed eyewash or suitable eyewash station, and no shower, to provide adequate irrigation and rinsing in case of spill into the eyes or on skin. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.

The employer had not developed and implemented a written Hazard Communication program. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
