29 CFR 1910.124(g)(2):     Employees who worked with liquids that could burn, irritate, or otherwise harm their skin were not provided with an emergency shower and eye-wash station close to the dipping and coating operation:      On or about May 23, 2013 the employee operator of the vapor degreaser containing n-Propyl Bromide, which can be absorbed through the skin and cause skin irritation, was not provided with an emergency shower and eye-wash station.     Abatement documentation is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).

29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1)(i):     When the employer had assessed the workplace hazard(s) and determined that hazard(s) were present, the employer did not select and/or use the types of personal protective equipment that would protect the affected employee from the hazard(s) identified:     On or about May 23, 2013 the employee operator of the vapor degreaser containing n-Propyl Bromide, which can be absorbed through the skin and cause skin irritation, was using incorrect gloves to protect the hands against skin irritation and to block absorption.    Abatement certification is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).

29 CFR 1910.134(d)(1)(i):     Selection of appropriate respirators was not based on the respiratory hazard(s) to which the worker was exposed and user factors that affect respirator performance and reliability:     On or about May 23, 2013 the employee operator of the vapor degreaser containing n-Propyl Bromide, a chemical with potential neurotoxicity, hepatotoxicity, and reproductive and developmental toxicity through inhalation, was exposed to n-Propyl Bromide above Occupational Exposure Limits (OELs) while wearing the incorrect respirator type; the employee was wearing an N95 Particulate Respirator (filtering facepiece/dust mask) instead of a respirator such as a tight-fitting air purifying respirator with organic vapor cartridges.     Abatement documentation is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).

There is no abatement certification or documentation required for this item.
