29 CFR 1910.134(c)(2)(i): Respirator users were not provided with the information contained in Appendix D to 29 CFR 1910.134 when the employer determined that any voluntary respirator use was permissible: H.G. Reynolds Company, Inc. - on or about May 29, 2013, at Tutt Middle School in August, GA, employees were allowed voluntary use of filtering facepiece respirators during demolition of concrete masonry unit (CMU; cinder block) walls. Employees were not provided with the information contained in Appendix D of the Respiratory Protection standard. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
