One employee was operating a pneumatic nail gun without wearing eye protection. The other employee worked nearby without wearing eye protection. This condition exposed employees to projectile hazards to the eyes.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13):  Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, personal fall arrest system, or other approved alternative fall protection system:  (a)  Gonzalez & Son at 7587 E 122nd Ave, Thornton, CO 80602:  On June 1, 2013 the exposing employer did not ensure that employees were protected from injury, in that two employees installing shingles and other roofing material on a section of a two-story residential home were wearing fall harnesses; however, the harnesses were not attached to the lanyards of the fall protection system. The pitch of the roof was 4-in-12. This condition exposed the employee to a fall hazard of approximately 20 feet.
