29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): (a) Jobsite: On or about June 3, 2013, employees were installing a new roof on an apartment building and they were not protected from falling to the ground. The fall hazard to the employees ranged from approximately 14 to 17 feet and the pitch of the roof was 7 in 12.

29 CFR 1926.503(c)(3): When the employer has reason to believe that any affected employee who has already been trained does not have the understanding and skill required by paragraph (a) of this section, the employer shall retrain each such employee: (a) Jobsite: On or about June 3, 2013, employees who were exposed to fall hazards while working from a roof, needed to be retrained on when to use fall protection.
