29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): "Residential construction." Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure.   WORKSITE: The workers, installing plywood sheathing on a 15/12 pitch roof, were not protected from falls approximately 20 feet to the ground by the use of appropriate fall protection systems/devices.    On or about June 4, 2013, a worker, while installing plywood sheathing on the 15/12 pitch roof, fell off the roof to the ground below and sustained severe head trauma during the fall. The worker later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
