29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure: a. On or about June 3, 2013, at the above addressed jobsite, employees installing shingles on the roof which varied from a 4/12 pitch to a 7/12 pitch were exposed to falls of approximately 10 feet from the single story residence due to a lack of a fall protection system. HJQ Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard which was contained in OSHA inspection number 460594, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on September 6, 2012, with respect to a workplace located at 290 E. John Casey Road in Bourbonnais, IL.
