29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) CNC Department- The employer did not ensure that employees were adequately protected from point of operation hazards, rotating parts, and flying chips from equipment, such as on HAAS Automation Super VF2 #054 and Haas Automation Super Mini Mill #106. The safety interlocks on the equipment were not activated and functional while the equipment was in use.
