29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b):   1)  At 14 Stratton Place, Delmar, NY 12054 on or before 06/17/13 employees were not protected from fall hazards during the reconstruction of the residential structure when working on floor joists for the 2nd floor.  There was no fall protection in evidence where the elevation was 9 foot 6 inches above a lower area.   2)  At 14 Stratton Place, Delmar, NY 12054 on or before 6/17/13 employees were not protected from fall hazards during the reconstruction of the residential structure when passing in front of wall opening on the first floor near the basement stairs.  There was no fall protection in evidence where the elevation was 7 foot 2 inches from the first floor to the basement floor.

This extension cord was not being used at the time of the inspection but was also not tagged as unsafe or physically removed from its place of operation.

29 CFR 1926.25(a): During the course of construction, alteration, or repairs, form or scrap lumber with protruding nails was not kept clear from work areas:  a)  At 14 Stratton Place Delmar, NY 12054  on or about 6/17/13 protruding nails from scrap lumber were left exposed pointing upward in a walkway near the rear of the structure which was under construction.  Employees were exposed to a hazard of possible lacerations or puncture wounds when walking or working in the area.
