29 CFR 1910.23(a)(8): Floor hole(s), into which persons could accidentally walk, were not guarded by standard railings with standard toeboards on all exposed sides or by floor hole covers of standard strength and construction: Employees working in the shop were exposed to tripping and falling into the oil change pits because when a vehicle is not in the bay, standard railings or floor covers were not provided.
