29 CFR 1926.152(d)(2): A portable fire extinguisher having a rating of not less than 20-B units was not located between 25 feet and 75 feet from flammable liquid storage area(s) located outside:     a) Route 715, Pocono Township, PA, Northampton Community College Monroe Campus, Northwest of Enrollment Building (bldg. #1):  At least one portable fire extinguisher having a rating of not less than 20-B units, was not located within at least 25 feet, nor more than 75 feet, from an above ground 350-400g diesel fuel tank. Employees were exposed to fire hazards on or about June 17, 2013.      Corrected During Inspection.

29 CFR 1910.157(g)(1): An educational program was not provided for all employees to familiarize them with the general principles of fire extinguisher use and the hazards involved with incipient stage fire fighting.   a) Route 715, Pocono Township, PA, Northampton Community College Monroe Campus, Northwest of Enrollment Building (bldg. #1):  Employees are exposed to fire hazards when operating the 350-400g diesel fuel tank. Employees have not been provided with an educational program to familiarize them with the general principles of fire extinguisher use and the hazards involved with incipient stage fire fighting, on or about June 17, 2013.   In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19, abatement certification is required for this violation.
