29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) Container Specialties, Inc.: Blow Molding Department- The employer did not provide one or more methods of machine guarding that would protect employees from hazards created by ingoing nip points, such as on Conveyor Line 14 packing station. b) Container Specialties, Inc.: Blow Molding Department- The employer did not ensure that employees were adequately protected from hazards created by ingoing nip points and rotating parts on equipment, such as the Blow Molding Machine 35. The bottom half of the guard door in the boxing station of Blow Molding Machine 35 was missing. The two center guards covering the conveyor system on Blow Molding Machine 35 were also missing.
