29 CFR 1926.501(b)(5): Each employee on the face of formwork or reinforcing steel was not protected from falling 6 feet (1.8 m) or more to lower levels by personal fall arrest systems, safety net systems, or positioning device systems:   a)    On or about June 12, 2013, and times prior thereto, at the Embassy Suites jobsite in Savannah, GA, the employer failed to ensure that employees working near, and walking at the edge of parking-garage elevator form work, were protected from falling into the opening, exposing employees to falls of at least 10 feet.     ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION IS NOT REQUIRED.

29 CFR 1926.1052(c)(1)(ii): Stairways having four or more risers or rising more than 30 inches (76 cm), whichever is less, were not equipped with a stairrail system along each unprotected side or edge:   a)    On or about June 12, 2013, and times prior thereto, at the Embassy Suites jobsite in Savannah, GA, the employer failed to ensure that an Oglethorpe St. concrete stairway of 48 inches had a stair-rail system installed on either side, exposing employees to fall hazards while ascending and descending the stairs.     ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION IS NOT REQUIRED.

29 CFR 1926.150(c)(1)(iv): There was not at least one fire extinguisher located adjacent to stairways on each floor of a multistory building:   a)    On or about June 12, 2013, and times prior thereto, at the Embassy Suites jobsite in Savannah, GA, the employer failed to ensure that all five floors of the main building included at least one portable fire extinguisher located adjacent to stairways of the north and south sides, exposing employees to potential fire hazards.    ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION IS NOT REQUIRED.
