A trailer parked for loading and unloading was approximately 26 inches from the wall along the exit route exposing employees to fire, smoke, and heat.

29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1)(i): The employer did not select and have each affected employee use, the types of personal protective equipment that would protect the affected employee(s) from the hazards identified in the hazard assessment:     Where employees are exposed to splash hazards while:   1. Dispensing up to 5 gallons of corrosive Sodium Hydroxide, 25 percent and corrosive Aluminum Chloride;   2. Carrying the above chemicals in open-topped containers while climbing stairs;   3. Pouring the above chemicals into open-top tank.     PPE assessment did not include face shield, apron, and protective clothing to prevent contact with corrosive chemicals and employer did not ensure that employees used appropriate neoprene gloves, eye/face protection, and protective clothing.
