29 CFR 1910.95(c)(1): A continuing, effective hearing conservation program as described in 29 CFR 1910.95(c) through (n) was not instituted when employee noise exposures equaled or exceeded an 8-hour time-weighted average sound level (TWA) of 85 dBA: This violation occurred on June 25, 2013, and at times prior thereto, in the manufacturing facility, employees were exposed to continuous noise level at 83.5% of the allowable 8-hour time-weighted average sound level (85 dBA). 1. The equivalent dBA level of 83.5% is approximately 88.7 dBA. The sampling was performed for 438 minutes during one shift on June 26, 2013. 2. The equivalent dBA level of 83.1% is approximately 88.6 dBA. The sampling was performed for 450 minutes during one shift on June 26, 2013. 3. The equivalent dBA level of 77.6% is approximately 88.2 dBA. The sampling was performed for 445 minutes during one shift on June 26, 2013.
