29 CFR 1926.859(g): During demolition, continuing inspections by a competent person were not made while the work was progressed to detect hazards resulting from weakened or deteriorated floors, or walls, or loosened material. Employees were permitted to work where such hazards exist until they are corrected by shoring, bracing, or other effective means: A). on or about 06/24/2013, a departure ramp of Terminal 3 at JFK Airport. Jamaica, NY Employer did not follow the demolition plan. Section of the ramp being demolished was not supported during the demolition operation. ABATEMENT VERIFICATION IS NOT REQUIRED PURSUANT TO 29 CFR 1903.19.
