29 CFR 1910.243(d)(4)(xiii): All tools shall be used with the correct shield, guard, or attachment recommended by the manufacturer. (a) Facility - On or about June 26, 2013 employees were using Duofast pneumatic staple guns to fasten wood furniture frames. The staple used was a 7/16 inch wide x 1 ½ inch long 16 gauge staple. The contact tip safety device on the gun was missing. Employees were exposed to the gun being accidentally discharged.
