29 CFR 1926.503(a)(2)(i): Employees were not trained, as necessary, by a competent person qualified to recognize the nature of fall hazards in the work area.     On or about June 26, 2013, on the east side of the construction site, employees were exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 24 feet while performing gutter activities on a commercial building.  The employer did not provide training to the exposed employees on fall protection.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.    On or about June 26, 2013, on the east side of the construction site, employees were exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 24 feet while performing gutter activities on a commercial building.      L. J. BECK ROOFING & GUTTERING, INC. WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALENT STANDARD 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1), WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 314464769, CITATION NUMBER 1, ITEM NUMBER 002 AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON APRIL 1, 2012, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT 8441 NW PRAIRIE VIEW ROAD, KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI  64153.
