OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: a) On or about June 26, 2013, and at times prior, employees were potentially exposed to crushing and struck-by hazards while operating automotive lifts under the following conditions: 1) In the shop area, safety warning labels on the Rotary lifts were not legible. Abatement Note: Abatement certification is required for this item (see enclosed "Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet").

29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use: (a) On or about June 26, 2013 and at times prior, employees in the detail bays were exposed to injury where no eyewash station was available for immediate use for employees dispensing and using Car Brite wheel cleaner, a corrosive. Access to the nearest eyewash station required travel across the length of the shop and potentially into the path of moving vehicles. Abatement Note: Abatement certification is required for this item (see enclosed "Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet").
