29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: a) Building #1800 - On or about June 27, 2013, the employer did not ensure that employees were protected by safety net systems or personal fall arrest systems while walking/working on the first floor roof overhang, which was unprotected by a guardrail system, exposing employees to fall hazards of approximately 11 feet onto earthen ground. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION IS NOT REQUIRED High Performance Construction, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard [29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1)], which was contained in OSHA inspection number 312529613, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on March 4, 2010, with respect to a workplace located at 2935 Rosebud Road, Loganville, GA 30052.
