OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that employees were exposed to crushing and struck-by hazards associated with improper automotive lift operations:      (a)  On or about 28 June 2013, and at times prior to that date, employees were exposed to struck-by hazards while working around automotive lifts, in that the lifts were not being lowered onto the safety locks prior to an employee working underneath the raised vehicle.  Rotary in ground lift, Model # SL210IN860, Serial # RQO09H0028.     Abatement note:       Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method of abatement would be to follow the requirements of ANSI/ALI and/or ANSI B153.1 which includes, among other requirements, the following:        1.  Institute a training program for the employees on the safe use of automotive lifts.       2.  Document and record the training for each employee.
