29 CFR 1910.1030(d)(2)(i): Engineering and work practice controls were not used to eliminate or minimize employees exposure: a) Endoscopy, Scope Processing Room - Employees reached into the processing tub to count the reusable forceps at the end of the day. The forceps have a needle at the end which potentially exposed the employees to bloodborne pathogens. Observed on or about 7/2/13. NOTE: Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
