29 CFR 1926.405(g)(2)(iv): The employer shall ensure that flexible cords are connected to devices and fittings so that strain relief is provided which will prevent pull from being directly transmitted to joints or terminal screws. On or about July 2, 2013, on the north side of the construction site, an employee using an extension cord to energize a Makita skill saw that had the outer sheathing pulled away exposing the internal wiring, was exposed to electrical hazards.
