29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): (a) Jobsite: On or about July 9, 2013, employees were working on the roof of a residential home and they were not protected from falling approxiamtely 9 feet to the ground. The employees were unloading bundles of shingles from a crane. The pitch of the roof was 8 in 12 and 12 in 12.

29 CFR 1926.503(c)(3): When the employer has reason to believe that any affected employee who has already been trained does not have the understanding and skill required by paragraph (a) of this section, the employer shall retrain each such employee.: (a) Jobsite: On or about July 9, 2013, employees who were exposed to an approximate 9 foot fall hazard while working on a residential roof, needed to be retrained so that they retain the knowledge and skill required to minimize the fall hazards while working from a roof.
