29 CFR 1926.1126(d)(2)(i): The employer using the scheduled monitoring option did not perform initial monitoring to determine the 8-hour time-weighted average exposure to chromium (VI) for each employee on the basis of a sufficient number of personal breathing zone air samples to accurately characterize full shift exposure on each shift, for each job classification, in each work area: (a) The initial monitoring conducted by the employer on or about July 12, 2013 did not accurately characterize the exposure levels of Chromium (VI) for the blasters that worked inside the containment, in that the monitoring was conducted for an employee that was identified as a blaster, but actually worked primarily as a machine operator outside of the containment on the day of the monitoring.
