29 CFR 1926.451(f)(14): Makeshift devices, such as but not limited to boxes and barrels, were used on top of scaffold platforms to increase the working level height of employees: (a) 178 Roberts Trail, Marietta, GA; An employee working from a tubular frame scaffold was exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 30' while installing bricks on the exterior walls of the structure. The employee used a cement block to increase the working height on the platform.

29 CFR 1926.451(g)(4)(i): Guardrail systems were not installed along all open sides and ends of platforms. (a) 178 Roberts Trail, Marietta, GA; The employer exposed employees to fall hazards of approximately 30' above the ground from a scaffold which did not have a complete guardrail system, due to the mid-rails and end-rails not being installed. Employees were installing bricks along the exterior walls of the structure.
