29 CFR 1910.303(g)(2)(i): Except as elsewhere required or permitted by Subpart S of Part 1910, live parts of electric equipment operating at 50 volts or more were not guarded against accidental contact by use of approved cabinets or other forms of approved enclosures or by any of the means identified in paragraphs (A), (B), (C), and (D) of 29 CFR 1910.303(g)(2)(i): On or about August 15, 2013, Basement: In the following locations, live parts of electrical equipment were not guarded against accidental contact: A. Electrical Room: A Tork timer which controlled the courtyard lights and outsight lights (south) did not have the inner contacts guarded. B. Boiler Room: A 120/24V transformer reset box was missing a cover, exposing energized parts.

On or about August 15, 2013, Basement: The Pepsi and snack vending machines were powered through a 2-outlet receptacle which showed an open ground when tested. Employees were exposed to electric shock hazards. Marathon Healthcare Center of Torrington, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard, 1910.304(f)(6), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 311759740, Citation Number 1, Item Number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on January 12, 2009, with respect to a workplace located at 80 Fern Drive, Torrington, Connecticut.
