29 CFR 1910.146(c)(8)(i): When an employer (host employer) arranged to have employees of another employer (contractor) perform work that involved permit space entry, the host employer did not inform the contractor that the workplace contained permit spaces and that permit space entry is allowed only through compliance with a permit space program meeting the requirements of this section: Passaic Valley Sewerage Commision, 600 Wilson Ave., Clarifier #10, Newark, NJ Stone Hill Contracting, Inc. arranged to have employees of Aulffo Painting, Inc. sandblast and paint the sludge withdrawal tube located inside Clarifier Tank # 10. The host employer failed to inform the contractor that the tube met the requirements of a permit required confined space, in that it had limited egress, a potential hazardous atmosphere, and danger of entrapment. Violation occurred on or about 7-10-13
