Worksite located at 16993 Polk Street, Omaha, NE. This is a residential site: Employees were observed conducting construction activities on a residential structure. The employee and owner were exposed falls of 10 feet or more without using any form of fall protection such as a personal fall arrest system. Abatement certification and abatement documentation is required for this violation. The documentation should include written verification of abatement, applicable measurements or monitoring results, and photographs or videos which you believe will be helpful. The abatement certification sheet is enclosed with the citations.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee potentially exposed to fall hazards to enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards: Jobsite located at 16993 Polk Street, Omaha, NE and Throughout the Company: The employer failed to train employees that were potentially exposed to fall hazards to enable each employee to recognize the hazards associated with the type of work being conducted. This should include training on mitigating those hazards through an acceptable method of fall protection. Training should also include the requirements for fall protection systems and when it is appropriate to utilize those systems. Abatement certification and abatement documentation is required for this violation. The documentation should include written verification of abatement, applicable measurements or monitoring results, and photographs or videos which you believe will be helpful.
