29 CFR 1926.20(b)(2): The employer did not initiate and maintain programs which provided for frequent and regular inspections of the job site, materials and equipment to be made by a competent person(s) Location: 2090 North New Florissant Rd, Florissant, MO 63033 Metro East Roofing, Inc. allows workers to be exposed to hazardous conditions created by not conducting frequent or regular inspections. The most recent occurrence was at 2090 North New Florissant Rd, Florissant, MO 63033 where they failed to make frequent or regular inspections of the worksite to ensure all workers were in compliance with company safety and health policies and OSHA standards. The workers were exposed to an approximate 18-21 foot fall hazard as they worked on the roof without the use of an adequate fall protection system and/or fall arrest system. In addition, workers were exposed to an approximate 18 foot fall hazard as they used an extension ladder that did not extend 36 inches above the landing while carrying full sheets of plywood preventing three-point contact with the ladder.

Metro East Roofing, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 313016008 citation number 1, item number 3a and was affirmed as a final order on 07/30/2010, with respect to a workplace located at 805 Carl Street, Collinsville, IL 62234.
