29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where the eyes or body of any person may be exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use:     a) Scimetrics Limited Corp. at 9974 NE Frontage Rd. in Wellington, CO: On and before November 26, 2013 suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing were not provided within the work area where forklift battery charge stations were located and where the forklift batteries containing sulfuric acid are maintained and refilled with distilled water.  In addition, hydrochloric acid is used in the production of Kaput Mole Gel.  This condition exposed employees to eye hazards from contact with corrosives.     Abatement Note: ANSI Z358.1-2009 specifies that eye wash stations shall be located in an area that requires no more than 10 seconds to reach and closer for harsh acids and bases.

This condition exposed employees to hazards associated with chemical exposures.

29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employers shall provide employees with effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment, and whenever a new physical or health hazard the employees have not previously been trained about is introduced into their work area. Information and training may be designed to cover categories of hazards (e.g., flammability, carcinogenicity) or specific chemicals. Chemical-specific information must always be available through labels and material safety data sheets:   a) Scimetrics Limited Corp. at 9974 NE Frontage Rd. in Wellington, CO: On and before July 22, 2013  the employer did not provide employees (including temporary employees) with effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area.  Employees did not know what material safety data sheets were and did not know the hazards of the chemicals in their work areas.  This condition exposed employees to chemical and dust hazards.

29 CFR 1910.134(c)(1): In any workplace where respirators are necessary to protect the health of the employee or whenever respirators are required by the employer, the employer shall establish and implement a written respiratory protection program with worksite-specific procedures. The program shall be updated as necessary to reflect those changes in workplace conditions that affect respirator use. The employer shall include in the program the following provisions of this section, as applicable:  a) Scimetrics Limited Corp. at 9974 NE Frontage Rd. in Wellington, CO: On and before July 22, 2013 the employer did not ensure a written respiratory protection program was developed and implemented when the use of respiratory protection (N95 respirator) was required.    Abatement Note: The employer shall include in the program the following provisions of this section, as applicable:      - Procedures for selecting respirators for use in the workplace;     - Medical evaluations of employees required to use respirators;     - Fit testing procedures for tight-fitting respirators;     - Procedures for proper use of respirators in routine and reasonably foreseeable emergency situations;     - Procedures and schedules for cleaning, disinfecting, storing, inspecting, repairing, discarding, and otherwise maintaining respirators;     - Procedures to ensure adequate air quality, quantity, and flow of breathing air for atmosphere-supplying respirators;     - Training of employees in the respiratory hazards to which they are potentially exposed during routine and emergency situations;     - Training of employees in the proper use of respirators, including putting on and removing them, any limitations on their use, and their maintenance; and     - Procedures for regularly evaluating the effectiveness of the program.  The program shall be updated as necessary to reflect those changes in workplace conditions that affect respirator use.

This condition potentially exposed employees to a physiological burden due to the use of a respirator.
