29 CFR 1926.501(c): The employer did not ensure that when employees were exposed to falling objects: In addition to having employees wear hardhats, the employer shall implement one of the measures outlined in 501(c)(1) through (c)(3) which include: Provide a toeboard, or screen or the equivalent, or a canopy, or keep objects back away from the edge, or barricade the area to which objects can fall: a) Toeboards or the equivalent were not provided on guardrails systems at the jobsite, at floor openings and roof edges.
