29 CFR 1910.178(g)(2): Facilities were not provided for flushing and neutralizing spilled electrolyte, for fire protection, for protecting charging apparatus from damage by trucks, and for adequate ventilation for dispersal of fumes from gassing batteries.    WAREHOUSE AREA: On or about July 24, 2013 the employer did not ensure that the battery charging station was equipped with a guard/barrier to protect charging and related equipment from damage by trucks. This condition exposed employees to hazards associated with sulfuric acid and electrical shock.

This condition exposed employees to struck-by and caught-in-between hazards.

29 CFR 1910.305(j)(4)(v): The disconnect means was not readily accessible:   WAREHOUSE AREA: On or about July 24, 2013 the employer did not ensure that a disconnect electrical box was accessible in the event of an emergency. A warehouse mobile ladder and forklift(s) were impeding the path and/or access to the disconnect switch, exposing employees to electrical and/or other hazards associated with not having immediate access to the disconnect lever.
