29 CFR 1910.178(g)(2): Facilities were not provided for flushing and neutralizing spilled electrolyte, for fire protection, for protecting charging apparatus from damage by trucks, and for adequate ventilation for dispersal of fumes from gassing batteries. WAREHOUSE AREA: On or about July 24, 2013 the employer did not ensure that the battery charging station was equipped with a guard/barrier to protect charging and related equipment from damage by trucks. This condition exposed employees to hazards associated with sulfuric acid and electrical shock.
