29 CFR 1910.134(g)(1)(i)(A): Respirators with tight-fitting facepieces were worn by employees who had facial hair that came between the sealing surface of the facepiece and the face or that interfered with valve function: (Construction Reference 1926.103) (a) Work Area #1 - An employee was performing jackhammer removal of the exsisting concrete bridge surface while wearing a MSA 4303-580 respirator. The employee had facial hair which interfered with a close fit, observed on or about 7-25-13. Abatement certification required.
