29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1): An assessment of workplace tasks was not conducted to determine if hazards were present, or were likely to be present, which would have necessitated the use of personal protective equipment: Employees performing landscaping tasks including, but not limited to, mowing, tree trimming and edge trimming along roadways, were exposed to struck-by hazards. The employer did not evaluate the workplace to determine the types of hazards employees would be exposed to, such as vehicles while working along roadways, and evaluate ways to minimize exposure to the hazard.
