Abatement certification is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system. Or, on roofs 50-feet (15.25 m) or less in width, each employee was not protected by use of a monitoring system. On August 1, 2013 employees were not protected from a fall while roofing a commercial building, exposing employees to a fall hazard between 9.10- 16.3 feet. The RISTOW ROOFING CO. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(1) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 313012098, citation number 01, item number 01 and was affirmed as a final order on July 7, 2009, with respect to a workplace located at 109 Washington St. Benton, IL 62812. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
