29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a) On or about August 2, 2013 and at times prior; the employer did not ensure a fall protection method was implemented and/or used while an employee was working at the roof area (installing shingles) which exposed the employee to falls of 18 feet from the eave to the ground below.
