29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(4):   Ladder(s) were used for purposes other than the purpose for which they were designed:  a)  100 Marshall Street, Hoboken, NJ.  Employee was exposed to falls to the floor below as the employee when using the multiladder in the twin stepladder position was straddling the front and rear sections and standing on the second rung from the top of the ladder, both actions prohibited from the manufacturer, Werner Co.                                   Violation observed on or about 08/02/2013.

29 CFR 1926.1060(b):    The employer did not provide retraining as necessary for each employee using ladders and stairways so that the employee maintained the understanding and knowledge acquired through prior training:  a)  100 Marshall Street, Hoboken, NJ  and at the Corporate Offices at 231Herbert Avenue, Closter, NJ.  The employer had not provided retraining to this employee on ladder safety specifically relating to the use of the Werner Multiladder model.                                                                              Violation observed on or about 08/02/2013.
