29 CFR 1910.213(c)(1): Circular handfed ripsaw(s) were not guarded by an automatically adjusting hood which completely enclosed that portion of the saw above the table and above the material being cut:    On or about 8/8/13 in the production and storage area of the facility;    Employees operating the rip saw machine to cut approximately a 6 inch wide and 12 feet long section of wood into about 2 to 2 ¼ wide sections are exposed to an amputation hazard from the unguarded section of the rotating blades.

29 CFR 1910.134(c)(2)(i): 29 CFR 1910.134(c)(2)(i): When the employer determined that any voluntary respirator use was permissible, the employer did not provide the respirator users with the information in Appendix D of this section ("Information for Employees Using Respirator When Not Required Under the Standard"):    On or about 8/8/13 in the production and storage area of the facility;    Employees in the wood cutting and processing shop who were exposed to the potential inhalation of dust while cutting wood wore dust masks on a voluntarily basis. The employer had not provided the employees with the information explained in Appendix D of the respiratory protection standard to ensure employees understood the uses and limitations of dust masks.
